I am a long time Brevard County resident with deep roots in this community and a strong commitment to standing up for our community’s values.

For the last decade, I’ve been out in the community organizing cleanups, supporting neighbors, and speaking out on the issues that matter most. I know the challenges we face, and I’m ready to work hard to protect our way of life and build a stronger future for Titusville.

I’ve spent years working hands-on in property maintenance and construction. I understand the challenges our city faces from aging infrastructure to responsible growth. I believe in real solutions that protect our neighborhoods and respect your hard-earned tax dollars.

I’m not here to represent political parties or special interests, I am here to represent you. I serve the people who live, work, and raise families in Titusville.

I’m running for Titusville City Council because I believe our community deserves leadership that truly listens, shows up, and works for the people.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Elizabeth Baker representing the people of Titusville

I’m running for Titusville City Council because I believe our community deserves leadership that truly listens, shows up, and works for the people.

My commitment to accountability is simple; I work for the real people of Titusville, not for special interests or political parties. That’s why I don’t accept PAC money or take favors that could influence my decisions. I am guided only by the voices and the needs of our residents. Transparency isn’t a buzzword to me, its how I operate. You deserve to know what’s going on, why decisions are made, and how your tax dollars are spent. I’ll answer to you and keep the community involved. I’m running because Titusville deserves a Representative that shows up, listens, and delivers real results. From fixing our infrastructure and tackling flooding, to protecting your rights and ensuring growth doesn’t come at the expense of our neighborhoods, I am here to serve this community with responsible stewardship, integrity, and accountability.

Responsible Stewardship

Titusville is home, plain and simple. And that means we’ve got to take care of it, not just for today, but for the people who come after us.

We can’t afford to cut corners when it comes to protecting what matters: our green spaces, our water, and the Indian River Lagoon that keeps our community healthy and strong. But responsible stewardship isn’t just about the land. It’s about making sure every project, every new development, every road, every tax dollar, is handled with care. No surprises. No hidden costs. No leaving our neighbors holding the bag.

That’s why we need to look at the facts before we make decisions. Independent reviews of traffic, environmental impacts, and costs aren’t just paperwork, they’re how we make sure we’re not making promises we can’t keep. Growth is good, but it’s got to be smart growth. Growth that pays its own way and doesn’t leave our roads, our drainage, or our taxes in the ditch.

Serving you isn’t about titles or power, it’s an honor. And I’ll bring that mindset to every conversation, every vote, and every choice I make. Because this town works best when we look out for each other, not just the loudest voices in the room.

Transparency

Transparency isn’t a luxury. It’s the foundation of trust between our city government and the people it serves.

For years, Titusville’s leadership has treated public records like a privilege, not a right. Internal audits have been ignored, withheld, or buried for nearly a decade, even kept hidden from the City Council itself. Public documents? Often delayed, heavily redacted, or so inadequate they might as well be blank. And the cost? Residents and even council members are being hit with absurd fees, like $1,800 for a single records request, just to access information that should be readily available.

This isn’t just inconvenient. It’s a systemic failure to be accountable. My advocacy for transparency didn’t start in politics, it started when I saw firsthand how the public, including volunteers who just wanted to know what was in our drinking water, were denied access to basic records. For years, I’ve called out these injustices, demanded accountability, and fought for open government. As your council member, I won’t just talk about transparency, I’ll demand it.

No more hiding behind bureaucracy. No more nickel-and-diming residents for the right to know what is happening. No more ignoring the law. If you elect me, you’ll have a representative who will:

-Push for immediate release of all overdue audits and public records.

-Fight to end excessive fees and redactions that serve no purpose but to hide the truth.

-Hold the city manager and administration accountable for full transparency, no excuses.

Because the government works for us. And we deserve better than secrecy.
